Unhappily, I must report that my publisher has decided not to print the third book of the "Dangerous" trilogy, asking me to write something else instead. And so I am doing, with enthusiasm for the new stories and an ache in my heart for the uncompleted three-book-plus-introductory-novella series I had fallen in love with.

But I haven't forgotten the Duke and Duchess of Sarne, the Secret Master Villain who has been working his wickedness throughout the series, and all the plans I had made for the concluding book.

In stolen hours from the bill-paying projects, I will write that third book "on spec" and seek a publisher for it. The market for historical romances is bound to improve soon. If all else fails, I'll publish it myself!

Meantime, my deepest apologies to the letter-writers who did not get a response from me. I had stored a number of e-mails to answer when I had found another publisher or run out of options for getting Dangerous Betrayals into the bookstores. Then came a computer crash that fried my hard disk beyond recovery. As Hamlet said, "When troubles come, they come not single spies but in battalions." I greatly appreciate your interest in the books, the time you took to write, and (I hope) your forgiveness.
